JAMES W. ROBERTSON, JR.
PRINCIPAL
James Robertson’s multi-generational experience in the building industry began with his fathers’ building supply business Robertson Lumber Company in Winston-Salem, NC. Working with large home builders and developers, he gained expertise in all facets of residential and commercial real estate.
In 1977 James started his own company and in 1980, he incorporated JWR Building Company and was licensed by the state of North Carolina. James teamed up with another organization to build apartments and started land development while still building single family homes. James developed two successful town home communities, and by the late 1980’s, he became the developer of two large subdivisions, and a commercial subdivision, while at the same time building homes. He later chose to focus on what he loves most, residential home building in Winston-Salem.
James enjoys working in the field supervising each project from start to finish ensuring each home is built with unparalleled quality and craftsmanship.
AUSTIN ROBERTSON
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Austin Robertson has been immersed in the construction industry since childhood. Austin’s passion and attention to detail ensure each home has unique and luxury finishes, is built with the best quality and craftsmanship and makes dreams a reality.
His interest and passion peaked for the home building business after building his own home in 2005 with help from his father. In 2011, they joined their expertise and passion to launch Halcyon Homes.
For the past 11 years, Austin has offered unparalleled and hand's on management for each home, ensuring quality, craftsmanship and joy to reach the ultimate goal in delivering a beautiful home. His strong leadership and caring personality inspire his teams and everyone he meets.
WIL ROBERTSON
PROJECT MANAGER
Wil is a North Carolina native who graduated from UNCA with a bachelors degree in Business Management. Upon graduation in December 2017 he began working in the home building industry with BMC, a large national building material supply house company, where he gained his foundation in the construction industry. In late June 2020, Wil joined Halcyon Homes as a Project Manager and has greatly developed his passion and knowledge over the past year.
Wil is highly energetic and enthusiastic, with great motivation to see a home through from start to completion. He loves having the opportunity to build spaces for clients and their families that may become their forever homes for years to come.
Wil has grown up with a love for people and the outdoors. He and his wife Haley have a brand new beautiful baby girl named River who is their pride and joy!

Amy is a small-town girl at heart, originally a teacher, turned real estate investor and interior designer. Her passion for art and travel are her inspiration, and fuel her incredible ability to create unique environments for every client.
